Number 1.  Start with The Ugliest Ones.

Mark Twain Said,  If you Have Two important tasks before you,  start with the biggest, hardest and most important task first. Figure out which one is important for you. Think of this as a test, treat it like a personal challenge.

Number 2.Plan In Advance

To be effective you need to plan your tasks in advance.  Every minute that you take planning saves you 10 minutes when you start taking action. Prepare your planning list in 4 ways

The first one is the master list. On this list Put every task you need to do.

The second one is a monthly list. make this list at the end of the month and write down tasks that you need to be done in the next month.

The third one is a weekly list prepare before the week starts and as usual note down tasks that you need to do for that week.

And the fourth one is the daily list. Prepare before night and put the tasks for the next day.

You can be flexible and change as needed.

But remember one thing,  following the lists helps us focus on the tasks that move us towards our goals.

Number  3. set the target.

Knowing where you want to go is an important step. To do this. Set your goals and write them down.

Set a deadline, make a list of everything you need to do to reach those goals, and make a plan, then take an action.

If you don’t have a direction, you won’t get anywhere.

When you set the goals you know where you want to go and can make sure that the tasks you choose move you in the right direction.

Number 4. Apply The 80/20 Rule To Everything.

80-20 principle is also known as the Pareto principle. According to This principle, 20% of our efforts make up for 80% of our accomplishments.

It means to focus on the 20% is to give up clearing up the small tasks first.

Frequently those tasks are the 80% that only produce 20% of our results. Instead, focus on what’s important.

Complete the important task which makes you feel pride unless Completing low-value tasks which you will get little satisfaction.

Number 5.Practice Creative Procrastination

There is never enough time to do everything, but there is always enough time to do the most important thing.

Procrastinate on the unimportant tasks and focus as much as possible on only doing what is important.

Bonus tip:

Ask these 3 Great questions to yourself.

The first question is.

What are my highest-value activities?

The second one is.

What can I, and only I do that if done well make a real difference?

And the final one is.

What is the most valuable use of my time right now?

Number6. Consider the Sequence

We should choose our tasks or actions based on the long term, not the short term.

It’s easy to choose the easy because they are, well, easy. However, if we focus on the easy tasks for short term gratification. We won’t progress towards where we want to go.

Number 7. Use the ABCDE Method Continually.

Use the ABCDE method when you are organizing your list of the day.

“A” tasks are very important that you must to do. and there could be serious consequences if you do or don’t do them.

“B” consider tasks on this list which were you should do but only have mild consequence.

“C” consider tasks on this list which would be nice to do such as having lunch with a co-worker, phoning a friend, etc.

Put tasks on list “D” which can be delegated to someone else.

considers tasks as “E” that you can eliminate and it won’t matter if you do.

Number 8: Prepare Thoroughly Before You Begin

Before starting a task, make sure you have everything you need prepared and ready to go

Number 9: Motivate Yourself into Action.

If you want to perform your best, you need to be your cheerleader. Most of your emotions are determined by how you talk to yourself.

If you are negative and talk to yourselves negatively, you are going to have a negative perspective, if you are positive and build yourself up, you are going to have a more positive perspective and perform better.

No matter the circumstances, look for the good in every situation, for the solution in every problem.

Number  10: Put The Pressure On Yourself

You need to put pressure on yourself to put these principles into practice, don’t wait for someone else to make you or motivate you, just do it.

The good news is that once you complete your task, you will feel better and you increased your self-esteem,  because you go beyond the point where normal people quit.

Work hard, go the extra mile. Create imaginary deadlines and meet them. Get things done.
